The Tianjin Forum of Uzbek-Chinese Higher Education Institutions was held in Tianjin, China. The rector of Fergana Polytechnic Institute, Uktam Salomov, held negotiations on mutual cooperation with a number of prestigious Chinese universities within the framework of the forum.

During the negotiations, Memorandums on mutually beneficial cooperation were signed with Tianjin University of Technology and Tianjin Foreign Studies University.
