During the meeting, vice-rector of the institute for educational affairs Ilmdorjon Jakhongirov particularly touched on the mutual cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in recent years and the place of higher education in it. Also, issues of strategic partnership with this university, which has been cooperating for several years, were also noted.

3 representatives of the partner university were awarded the title of "Honorary Professor" of the Fergana Polytechnic Institute in recognition of their great contribution to the strengthening of long-term mutually effective cooperation in the field of science and education and the development of technical higher education in our republic.

At the same time, the leadership of BSTU awarded the title of "Honorary Professor" of Belgorod State Technical University named after V. G. Shukhov to 3 representatives of Fergana Polytechnic Institute for their efforts aimed at strengthening long-term mutual cooperation in the field of education.

After that, a discussion was held with the participation of the officials of the two universities, dedicated to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the future. A memorandum of cooperation was signed at the end of the meeting.
